July 15, 2009: Speaking of noble causes and the sweetest puppy face under the sun, meet the tough cookie and total sweetheart, Shadow the Lab puppy!  He's only a couple months old and has triumphed over pneumonia and malnourishment to become an ever stronger and bigger doggy.  You have a dad who loves you very much and we're so happy for the many hours we've spent with you helping to ensure your recovery.  Shadow wants to provide the same opportunity to other dogs in need of care. Frankie, a very cute and spry 14-year-old orange and white medium hair kitty does his part (again!!) to help the Shelby Humane Society adoption program and the In Search of a New Noble Cause! July 14, 2009: As big pet family people, we always enjoy meeting our likenesses out there.  Meet Gizmo, the cheerful Corgi Shit Zu mix, Harley, the perfect Malti Poo, Tiger, the sweetest and very handsome Pit Bull :-) and our latest three musketeer cat crew, Kitty, Lacey, and Roo.  See some pictures below!  Welcome to the growing Red Dog family!!  They raise their countless paws in support of our new In Search of a New Noble Cause! Fund and the Greater Birmingham Humane Society adoption program with a combined donation of $22.98!!!  You guys are a lot of fun to get down and play with and we look forward to many returns.  Their mom and dad, Vicki and Rusty, are very proud!

, 2009: Hello once again Zeffie and Reuben!  This boy and girl team of miniature Greyhounds is AMAZING and incredibly sweet... (see picture below). They lend their agile paws once again this week to the In Search of a New Noble Cause! Fund for a total of $13.73 in support of this fund in addition to their generation contribution to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society adoption program of $19.05 for a total of $32.78 in giving!!!  It's hard to keep up with you!  Thank you both...  Their momma, Deanna, is very proud!

July 8, 2009: Here is a photogenic and spirited couple!  See the cute ones below.  Welcome Sake, the Pug, and Domino, the Dachshund Basset Hound mix!  We can hear these two calling to us at the curbside awaiting their love, hugs (and special snacks of course, ha).  We thought our Dachshund Izzy was cute... imagine a black and white speckled version of her, about the twice the size, and that's Domino :-).  Don't tell Izzy we said that, ha :-) Both Sake and Domino are complete darlings and we love our time with them. Thank you for your generous, initial contribution of $9.45 to the In Search of a New Noble Cause! Fund!  Their mom and dad, Kiran and Pallavi, are very proud!



July 8, 2009: Okay... here's a new one... two dogs and two birds (in a cage of course!) ha!  Sweethearts all though :-)  Meet another addition to the Red Dog Sitting Family... Aubie, GiGi, Sunshine, and Snowflake!  See pictures below.  Plenty of peace in that household, especially without cats vying for an avian meal... they lend their paws and, err, claws and feathers in support of animals in need with a generous $10.07 contribution (that's a lot of bird seed, ha) to the In Search of a New Noble Cause! July 6, 2009: Say hello (to the ever recurrent and energetic :-) trio of power!  Weighing in at 67 pounds, a Boxer named Tank, at 61 pounds the very sweet, but leadership-determined, Shepherd-mix, Bear and last (but not least), meet the 63 pound Pit Bull, TH.U.D. (short for The Under Dog.. and the sweetest dog under the sun :-).  This trio is like taking a power-mower for a walk around the block and we love the exercise!  They lend another bench press to our current noble endeavor with a total donation of $19.29 toward the In Search of a New Noble Cause! Fund and the  Greater Birmingham Humane Society adoption program for a total of $49.73 in giving!!!  We look forward to many returns!



July 5, 2009: Meet the dynamic duo!  Max and Sammy (pictured below!), the respective black and tan pair of Labs bring new meaning to power walk around the block! :-) They are very sweet and a real joy on a walkabout. June 10, 2009: Brutus, a very sweet and 'got-his-routine-down-to-perfection' :-), 6-year-old, black and white Papillon and his loving, energetic younger brother, Martial (see them lovin on Cyd below) lend some big-time paws (once again!!) to the Shelby Humane Society adoption program for a total giving of $23.47!!!  You guys rock!!!  But remember, be good and be kind to the living room couch and lounge chair :-) Their parents, Leigh and Charlie are very proud!



June 7, 2009: ZeZe, a very energetic, now 6-month-old Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier (early puppy, older puppy pictures below -- see his transformation!) does his work out for the Shelby Humane Society adoption program and now that he's living in Jefferson county, once again for the Greater Birmingham Humane Society adoption program!  His giving to Shelby Humane Society has been $20.48!  He now puts two paws up once again for a total of $11.72 for the Greater Birmingham Humane Society.  Go Ze Go!  You're getting used to your new home which makes up happy.  His parents, Ramanda and Cozz are very proud!



June 4, 2009: Welcome, welcome, welcome to the youngest members of the Red Dog family... please give a collective awwwww to our two 8-week-old Spaniel puppies...ladies and gentlemen, meet Arthur and Cooper (pictured below), the sweetest youngin's under the sun :-).  They lend their tiny paws to the Shelby Humane Society adoption program with a generous $6.65 gift!  Needless to say, you are both a joy to be with and we look forward to watching you grow (quite rapidly, we're sure, ha).  Their parents, Annette and Gary, are very proud.



June 2, 2009: Leo, a very noble 3-year-old Maine Coon sends yet another meow wow to the Shelby Humane Society adoption program with yet another donation for a total of  $2.63 in giving.  Your trip to the vet for a teeth cleaning is never totally fun but we tried to make your trip there as pleasant as possible with plenty of reassurances and soothing music :-)  Leo's mom, Lillian, is very proud of his contribution!

May 29, 2009: Hello! to our two new girls (pictured below), the venerable, sweet and wonderfully spry 11-year-old Beagle, Lucy and her sister, the beautiful and energetic 5-month-old Bassett Hound, Daisy.  They put their eight paws together for a wonderful donation of $8.55 to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society adoption program.  You were an awful lot of fun to hang out with and we look forward to many returns :-)  Their mom, Margaret, is very proud!

(wow! :-) to three majestic and extremely sweet King Charles Cavalier Spaniels... (a couple of our new girls pictured below) mama Sadie and daughters Sophie and Marley!  Welcome to the Red Dog family and thank you for your gracious and generous donation of $15.50 to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society adoption program.  We look forward to many returns and hope our specially prepared scrambled eggs will always live up to your expectations :-).



May 24, 2009: Meet the fabulous foursome!  From left to right on the top, then the bottom...Mr. Personality Himself, the famous Boston Terrier Rocky Lee.  He has had several requests to run for public office, though has declined thus far :-).  Then there is the initially shy but extremely handsome and lovable Romeo, a Lab American Bulldog mix.  Third in list but first in physical stature is the incredibly friendly and perpetually hungry Buster, an American Staffordshire Terrier.  And last but not least, there is the major tail waggin' Pepper, a Terrier Schnauzer mix who has really burrowed her way into our hearts.  They put their combined paws together for the Shelby Humane Society adoption program with a generous contribution of $9.08. Thank you all!!!  Their momma, Barcley, who has also done some great pet sitting for Red Dog is very proud!





May 23, 2009: It's almost summertime and Toby, a 7-year-old Yorkshire Terrier and Gizmo, his 10-month-old Yorkie pal (pictured below with their summer haircuts :-) aren't fooling around (though they do know how to relax with a good game of frisbee tug-a-war :-) as they make another contribution to bring their total to $47.88 in support of the Shelby Humane Society adoption program!!!  We love you guys for that... and for the time we get to spend with you too!!! Their parents, Matt and Jennifer, are very proud!



May 22, 2009: Say hello (again!) to Buddy, a sweet black and tan, Min Pin mix, Otis, a frisbee-lovin' Jack Russell Rat Terrier mix, Shug, a big-boned orange tabby cat, and Mario, a portly gray tabby (check out sweet Buddy and the cool picture of Otis below).  They raise their... err (how many paws is that??) 16 paws in a wave to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society adoption program for a another collective donation to bring their total giving to $6.65.  You're a sweet bunch and we love hanging out with all of you :-) Their mom and dad, Rachel and Payton are very proud!



May 21, 2009: Meet Oliver!  A Weimaraner with a heart of gold.  He has the current record for the largest (in poundage, that is) of our Red Dog pet family, weighing in at 90+ lbs.  Every ounce of that is sweetness though, and he is a real joy on a walk.  He lends his significant weight to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society adoption program once again for a total of $7.60 in contributions.  Thank you so much big guy :-)! See his picture below.  His mom and dad, David and Melanie, are very proud!



May 13, 2009: Hunter, a wonderfully energetic, 14-year-old Beagle mix, Sadie a very tender 11-year-old Beagle mix, and Cleo the shy and very cute 3-year-old Basset Hound (pictures below) put their six (or is it 12?? ha) paws together once again in support of the Shelby Humane Society adoption program for a total of $7.85 in contributions!!  We love spending time with you (and Cleo, glad you're becoming less shy :-). April 27, 2009: Everyone loves puppies and our new addition to the family, Boone (pictured below with his pappa and favorite toy), a 5-month-old yellow Labrador sets the bar for sweetness.  He wants other puppies to find as great a home as he has and lends his paws to the Shelby Humane Society adoption program with his allowance of $1.50.  You rock Boone!  We look forward to plenty of play time with you. His dad, Logan, is very proud!



April 21, 2009: Phoebe and Pedro, a beautiful kitty couple that have reached the amazing ages of 20 (!!!) lend their eight paws in support of the Shelby Humane Society adoption program with a generous $5.70 contribution.  We know you're shy like many of our cat clients but are pleased to see you edging closer to us every time we visit :-)  Their momma, Leigh, is very proud!
