When we started Red Dog Sitting Services, we did it not only because we love animals and wanted to make a living caring for them but because we wanted to give back.  That is why we decided to set aside 5% of our earnings as donations to humane societies, shelters, and other organizations supporting animals in need.  We also recognized how easily giving to charities can become a perpetually postponed item on the to-do list... especially in difficult financial times... 

...We believe the vast majority of people are truly good at heart and want to give back to their communities.  That's when the light bulb turned on and we came up with this idea... Give people peace of mind about their pets and homes while they are away but also make it an easy opportunity for them to help the community, specifically, those unable to fend for themselves without our help -- animals of all kinds...

...This is why we not only donate a portion of what we make doing what we love to organizations that support animals in need, but have the families we serve choose which organization(s) they would like to help...

This website has been named in honor of our favorite dachshund, Izzy.  This is where we post news on the organizations supported by our donations, those who provide the donations, and the real impact that giving has on animals in our community.  This is also where we encourage you and anyone else visiting the site, to give time or donations to local organizations who support the thousands of animals in need of help.
